We were looking for an outcross sire to flush our lead donor Tobruk Rose J6 for sometime and then along came Hometown. We had been given feedback from a number of sources of the three NJW sires Hometown, Homegrown and Trust the former consistently produced attractive and profitable progeny. We were lucky enough from this single flush to secure four bulls and three heifers. We have been extremely happy with heifers who have all grown out beautifully, we eagerly await to AI them to the likes of Glentrevor Trust N909 and Tobruk Maverick M11 in late July the subsequent EBV's will blow your socks off .
The bulls lead the pack for carcase merit at scanning for both muscle and marbling. We have very high expectations for the Tobruk Quarterback Q27 son and plan to use him naturally this spring as well as retaining a semen interest. A young bull offering outcross genetics from a proven performance background.
